Course Programme Outcomes

This is an introductory course to the concepts : Ideas and theories in Political theory. It seeks explain the evolution and usage of these concepts, Ideas and theories with reference to individual thinkers both historically and analytically. The different ideological stand points regarding various concepts and theories are to be critically explained with the purpose of highlighting the difference in their perspectives and in order to understand their continuity and change. Furthermore, there is need to emphasise the continuing relevance of these concepts today and explain how in idea and theory of yester years gains prominence in contemporary political concepts.

This course gives an in-depth insight to the level of state Politics in Maharashtra. In this context it offers to study the patterns of state politics Specially in the light of Politics of Maharashtra. It not only deals with evolution or Formation of Maharashtra state but focus on the changing nature of Political Culture and the role of various regional parties in shaping states. Political system followed by structure and function of State Government, State legislature and local Self- Government, this paper focus on Agitation in Maharashtra.
